The International Checkers Association of North America (ICAONA) proudly announces
2nd International Tournament in International Checkers -
The tournament is open to all checker players regardless of experience.
Expected
participation of many players from different countries.

Results:
Congratulations to Big-Board winners in Florida
Yuriy Chertok and Oleg Dashkov, both from
Russia, tied for first in the Kolman Turiy Memorial tournament for 100-square
checkers in Sunny Isles, suburb of Miami, Florida, December 6-13, 2009. Chertok
was first on tie-break points.
Top U.S. resident was Jean Michelet Giraud, East Orange, New
Jersey, who tied with several others for 4th place. Mr. Giraud earned the title
of U.S. Champion.
Tournament director was Lyublyana Turiy,
daughter of the late Grandmaster. 29 players competed in all, about half of
them visitors from other countries including Russia, Costa Rica, Surinam, Haiti,
Antigua, Trinidad, and even Mali in West Africa.
